Wind Turbines

Coming to Derby Lake

Should Sidney Township approve the measure. Imagine the beauty of wind turbines on the horizon. Or, imagine turbines sitting idle with mechanical breakdown as you boat around the lake. We have thousands of acres and many square miles to put them. Why not put them in Greenville? Because we can put them within eyesight of beautiful Derby Lake. Standing 70 meters tall with blades of 50 meters, that is 246 foot structures dotting the beautiful country of Sidney Township right next to Derby Lake. This isn't about the merits of wind power or the economical fantasy of wind power. There are two sides to that story. This is about aesthetics and beauty.
